WAYS TO GET MORE BLOG TRAFFIC FROM INSTAGRAM

STAR PRINT DRESS | ZARA

BOOTS | PRIMARK

Over the past couple of weeks I've noticed quite a big change in where my blog views are coming from. Instagram has very quickly climbed to the top of referrers to my blog! It’s such a great tool for bloggers to use to share and promote their content. There are quite a few things you can do to grow your blog audience with Instagram and today I'm going to share with you a few of my tips!

HASHTAG EVERYTHING
  • At most, I’d recommend using 2-3 relevant hashtags maximum in the caption of your photo.
  • If using further hashtags, add them as a comment under your photo. This means that you can add as many hashtags as you’ll like, but it will be less distracting to your followers when initially reading the caption when scrolling.
  • Auto-filling It’s your best friend. I’ve noticed that as I am adding hashtags as an additional comment Instagram now auto-fills words for you with popularity figures so that you can use the most popular hashtags.
  • Obviously, there are soooo many hashtags that you can do that will get you high engagement, but I thought it a great idea to share some of my top ones below:

DETAILS SHOTS:

These are great if you want to get your followers interested in visiting your blog. Think about it this way. Prison Break came back this year, and after years of it not being aired on tv what’s made me tune into the first episode from the new season? The trailer/preview. So it should be no surprise that this works with blog posts also. I often show FWIS (from where I stand) details shots on my Instagram once a post has been published on my blog as a snippet to get people interested in going on my blog to check the full look out.

TAG  BRANDS  IN YOUR PHOTOS:

Accompanied by hashtags, tagging brands or people in your photos can be really valuable. Here’s how it works…  If a brand loves the photo that you’ve taken off their product then this could lead them to liking or even reposting your photo! Not only can this lead to your photo being one of my most liked Instagram photos and I got quite a few followers as well.
